Kevin Smith is the Founder and CEO of KAI-Netics. For more than three decades, he has led the modernization, protection, and transformation of mission-critical infrastructure across commercial enterprises, healthcare systems, financial institutions, federal agencies, defense organizations, and telecommunications providers—leading high-performing technical teams and complex, multi-million-dollar technology programs.

At Microsoft, he managed global cybersecurity infrastructure initiatives supporting the eradication of sophisticated adversaries, restoration of command and control in compromised environments, infrastructure modernization, and digital transformation programs across the Americas, APAC, and EMEA.

His career also spans data center modernization and Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) integration—delivering secure, resilient, and highly available environments where reliability, continuity, and operational excellence are essential. Throughout, Kevin has served as the bridge between executive leadership, engineering organizations, AEC teams, cybersecurity professionals, vendors, and operational stakeholders, translating complex business objectives into resilient, secure, and scalable infrastructure solutions.

He brings that same discipline to autonomous operations and every critical-infrastructure engagement: define the mission, govern risk, assemble the right team, integrate the data and systems, and stand behind the result.

Cloud and platform experience: Azure and AWS. Network and infrastructure credentials: CCNA, CWNA, and MCSE.
